The Nissan S-Cargo is one of the most distinctive vehicles to come out of Japan’s late-80s design era. Launched in 1989, it combined practicality with personality, offering useful cargo space wrapped in a uniquely snail-inspired silhouette.
Its name is a clever play on words—“S-Cargo” (Small Cargo) sounds like “escargot”, the French word for snail—perfectly matching its rounded, quirky design. Often used as a promotional vehicle, its large side panels made it ideal for advertising on wheels.
