New model

A legendary show rod that pushed hot rodding to its absolute limits.

The Uncertain-T is based on one of the most famous custom hot rods of the 1960s, a radically modified 1921 Ford Model T built by renowned customizer Steve Scott between 1960 and 1965. Featuring a lightweight fiberglass body mounted over a powerful Buick Nailhead V8, the car was engineered with an uncompromising philosophy. It famously had no suspension, no shock absorbers, and no front brakes, relying on its rigid chassis and minimalist construction to create one of the most extreme show rods of its era.

The Uncertain-T made its public debut at a 1965 car show in Pomona, California, where its unconventional engineering and striking appearance immediately attracted attention. After touring several shows, the hot rod disappeared from the public eye for decades before being rediscovered in 2023 in Van Nuys, California. It was subsequently acquired by Beau Boeckmann of Galpin Ford for the Galpin Auto Sports Collection, ensuring that this unique piece of hot rod history would be preserved for future generations. This 2026 Hot Wheels Mainline release celebrates one of the most iconic custom builds ever created.
