The Audi Quattro A1 is one of the most important cars in rally history, and its triumph at the 1982 Lombard RAC Rally stands as a defining moment for Audi’s revolutionary quattro all-wheel-drive system. Entered as car No. 1, the Quattro A1 was driven by Hannu Mikkola with Arne Hertz as co-driver, conquering the brutal British forest stages to secure a landmark victory.

Wearing its iconic early-1980s rally livery, complete with bold sponsor markings and auxiliary rally lights, the Quattro A1 perfectly represents the raw, unforgiving nature of Group B-era rallying. This win firmly cemented Audi’s AWD technology as the new benchmark on the world rally stage.

This Tarmac Works 1:64 release, produced in collaboration with Schuco, faithfully recreates the 1982 RAC Rally–winning car with period-correct details. Collectors also have the chance to find a Chase version, adding an extra layer of excitement to this historic release.
