The Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Lightweight is one of the most important air-cooled 911s ever built. It was the first to carry both the Carrera name—honoring Porsche’s racing heritage—and the iconic RS (Rennsport) badge. Developed for Group 4 homologation, it blurred the line between road and race like few cars before it.
The Lightweight specification pushed performance even further with thinner body panels, reduced interior trim, and weight-saving components. With only around 200 true Lightweight examples produced, it remains one of the most desirable classic Porsches.
This Tarmac Works release, produced in collaboration with Schuco, captures the car in classic yellow, complete with its unmistakable ducktail silhouette. Packaged in a Schuco paper box, it also offers the chance to find a raw metal chase version, adding extra appeal for collectors.
