The refined styling of Toyota’s fifth-generation Crown returns in a gold finish, capturing the understated prestige of a late-1970s Japanese luxury car.
The fifth-generation Toyota Crown arrived in 1974 with a more modern, angular design and a four-door pillared-hardtop body style that reflected international luxury-car trends. A 1978 facelift brought a revised front end and a more substantial-looking grille. The Super Saloon Extra was positioned as a high-grade 2.0-liter model, combining the Crown’s formal exterior with additional interior luxury.
