Based on the BCNR33 Nissan Skyline GT-R, the Nismo 400R was introduced in 1996 as a complete factory-tuned machine developed by NISMO. Powered by the enlarged RB-X GT2 2.8L engine producing around 400 horsepower, the 400R featured extensive upgrades to the body, suspension, and aerodynamics—creating a car engineered for both speed and driver control.
