The Ford E-Series has long served as a dependable platform for emergency and commercial vehicles, including ambulances used by police and emergency services.

The Ford E-450 Super Duty is part of Ford's E-Series, a platform widely adapted for specialized vehicles because of its heavy-duty chassis, large interior volume and ability to accommodate emergency-service equipment. In New York City, emergency medical services operate alongside the NYPD as part of the city's extensive public-safety infrastructure, making purpose-built Ford E-Series vehicles a familiar sight in the city's emergency fleet.

596 Models recreates a Ford E450 Ambulance in New York Police NYPD livery in 1:64 scale. The model features the tall ambulance body, emergency-service styling and NYPD markings, giving it a distinctive presence among police and emergency-vehicle collections. Its unusual combination of the Ford E-450 platform and NYPD-themed ambulance configuration makes it an interesting addition for collectors of American emergency vehicles and New York City service vehicles.
