American muscle-car heritage takes an unconventional turn with this radical Kaido House Camaro, featuring a custom rear-mounted engine arrangement.

The second-generation Chevrolet Camaro debuted for the 1970 model year and became a staple of American performance-car culture throughout the following decade. Its long bonnet, low roofline and muscular proportions made it a natural platform for customization, while the Camaro name became closely associated with street performance, racing and the American muscle-car scene.

Kaido House takes the 1979 Camaro in an entirely different direction with the Kaido Racing Team V1. The custom interpretation features exaggerated racing proportions and a striking rear-mounted engine layout, giving the car the appearance of a radically re-engineered, mid-engine-style machine rather than a conventional front-engine Camaro. The 1:64 diecast model includes an opening rear hatch, allowing collectors to view the detailed engine installation.
